Jeff's Audio Video was started in April 2000. This mobile business is based in Lawrence, Kansas. Jeff's Audio Video offers a higher standard of work, which focuses on the quality of installation and relationship with homeowners. Jeff's Audio Video services many surrounding cities in Northeast Kansas including the Kansas City Metro Area, Lawrence, Topeka and surrounding areas.

Customer Service

Jeff's Audio Video provides excellent customer service. We strive to fit our clients' schedules and we pride ourselves on our prompt service. In addition to answering our phones late at night, our clients know that they're dealing with the same person.

The use of the system's components and remote controls is thoroughly explained to the homeowner. The homeowner is also instructed to call, at any time, if they have any questions or problems.

Respect for the home and homeowners is given throughout the installation. Our installers are unobtrusive throughout the process. The work area is cleaned up at the end of the day.

Tour of Jeff's Audio Video

Our first stop on the tour of Jeff's Audio Video is our family portrait. Jeff and Shawna Huffman operate the business, in addition to being parents of a wonderful little boy. Jeff Many of you know Jeff since he comes into your home. But here's some background on Jeff that you may not know. Jeff grew up in Quinter, Kansas. This is a very small town about a hundred miles east of the Kansas/Colorado border on I-70. Jeff has always been fascinated with electronics. He started tinkering with car stereos during his junior high/high school years. Often he experimented with his parents' and siblings' vehicles, then moved on to friends' vehicles when he became more skilled. During high school he helped design and produce a line of home theater speakers for his parents' company. Jeff worked for a few Car Audio and Home Audio Video Stores in Lawrence, Hays and Colby, Kansas before starting Jeff's Audio Video. He is very talented and truly loves the audio video field. Jeff's parents taught him how to be a fair, generous and kind person, especially in business matters. Jeff strives to provide the best quality workmanship and at a good rate. He also makes sure that the customer is well taken care of, even at his expense. He also greatly appreciates being fed by so many of you. Shawna My official job title is "office manager." I schedule appointments, keep track of the finances, I correspond with clients and other businesses. I pretty much do everything except installation and system design. I did help Jeff on a job during the summer of 2000. In my former career (as of May 2004) I was a 6th grade teacher in Lawrence and loved it, but Jeff's business needed me to run the office. So I resigned my teaching position and have devoted most of my time to running the business side of Jeff's Audio Video. Many of you may speak to me since I schedule installation appointments. As far as my personal life, I grew up in Emporia, Kansas. I ran cross country and track throughout high school. I was pretty good, but declined athletic scholarships because I wanted to devote my college effort to academics. I was an Olympic Torch Carrier for the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. This is also the Olympic Games Jeff's brother competed in. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a BSE degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. While at KU I was set up on a blind date with Jeff and we have been together ever since. I greatly enjoy our business and feel very fortunate you all have welcomed us into your homes over the past five years.
